Hello Everyone,
Those who are following the news / British Rowing updates will realise that the rowing club is considered a leisure/sports facility that must close under the current lockdown rules.
Whilst there has not been any final announcement from British Rowing their update from 03/11/20 highlights they expect club facilities & stages to close in full from 05/11/20 in line with the national lockdown. The clubhouse / gym / boat shed / stages / facilities are therefore closed from today. Any members with queries regarding access must get in touch with Chloe- Club Captain atrcrcclubcaptain@gmail.com
We have done so well since returning to rowing in May, following all the new Covid secure rules & when we are allowed to re-open we will be ready to go! Should we receive any further updates that changes the closure position we will of course confirm back. We will plan to re-open on 2nd December and hope for earlier.
If it’s any consolation last weeks storm means that the river level is way above 6m currently so the majority of water sessions this weekend would have been cancelled anyway.
In the mean time, keep talking to your crews and squads, check in with each other.
At home we will continue to keep the seasons momentum keep an eye out for technical training videos from Jamie next week on theRoyals @ Home facebook page.
Note all of the summers live circuits are available for replaying for all our adults and masters. The juniors circuits have restarted online & a programme of online technique sessions starting from Monday. The seniors are busy keeping to their training plans at home, and the coaches are starting online coaching coaches sessions.
Keep fit and active & look after yourselves and each other!
Chloe
